The Annual School Health Screening Programme 2026 was successfully conducted at Khasadrapchu Middle Secondary School, Thimphu, on 12th and 13th August 2026 by health officials from Gidha Hospital. The programme covered students from Pre-Primary to Class X, focusing on general health, eye, ear, dental, and BMI screening. Students from PP to Class VI were screened on 12th August, while students from Classes VII to X underwent screening on 13th August. The programme was coordinated by the Non-Academic Vice Principal and School Health In-charge in collaboration with the visiting medical team. We shared prior information with students and staff to ensure maximum attendance and smooth coordination. The screening commenced at 9:00 a.m. on 12th August and concluded at 4:00 p.m. on 13th August 2026.
A total of students present during the two-day programme were screened, with attendance recorded class-wise for monitoring and follow-up purposes. A small number of students were absent on the screening days, and their details were documented separately. The respective class teachers were informed to facilitate necessary follow-up arrangements so that the absent students could receive appropriate health screening at a later date. The programme was conducted in an orderly and systematic manner, with the school administration, health officials, teachers, non-teaching staff, and support staff working together to ensure the smooth movement of students and timely completion of the screening. The annual screening served as an important preventive health initiative, enabling the school to promote students’ overall health and wellbeing while identifying areas requiring further attention or referral.
