school

Khasadrapchu Middle Secondary School, named after the area of its location, is situated below the Thimphu-Phuntsholing national highway, which is 18 km away from Thimphu City. It is under Mewang Gewog, Thimphu Dzongkhag.

Established in 1960, the school was one of the very few early schools in the country, therefore it has great historical value. The school reopened in 1981.

In 1998, the school was upgraded to Lower Secondary School and then to Middle Secondary School in 2002. Currently, the school has 79 staff members- Male-41 and Female- 36 [55 teachers (M-33, F-22), 9 Non-Teaching Staff (Male-2, Female-7), 4 ECCD Facilitators (Male-0, Female-4), 1 NFE Instructor (Male-0, Female-1), 8 Supporting Staff (Male-5, Female-3)] and 900 (M -445, F-455) students.
